My name is Jim and I’m a teacher and a life skills coach. I experienced a spinal injury while catching in a baseball game and a shoulder injury. I’ve had spinal surgery and two shoulder surgeries. Through my rehab from these injuries, the doctor wanted to do also knee replacements on me June 16th this year.
I asked them if I could start strengthening my legs and they were training me upstairs in the physical therapy and I asked them, “Why can’t I go into water?” They said, “Oh, we didn’t know you wanted to go into water.” I got a chance to go down into the water and start training in the water and I was released from that and I received a 30 day membership. I started going in to the water on my own and I was introduced to AquaLogix while I was floundering on my own.
In a period of almost two weeks, my quads came back and my hand strengths came back and I went back to the doctor on June 8th, eight days before my surgery and we canceled the surgery. When I went to my surgeon for my shoulder and a followup, he was impressed with the strength that I’ve. I’m eight months out of surgery and he’s released me and I owe it all to the training in the pool with AquaLogix. Like I said, I would have never found it.
I believe that the future for our kids is in the pool and that I think we would be less arthritic if someone … When I was 20 years old, catching in games, if somebody would have told me about AquaLogix training, I would have less arthritic joints. I think the future is in the kids and I work with a lot of elite athletes, public school kids, all ages. I think that the future, if we start training in the water and we send the message to high school and younger that the future will be better for American kids, the population will be less that. There will be less arthritic conditions overall. I owe my complete recovery to being in the water and being a part of the AquaLogix team.
